A colleague has been running a GGT of 150 U/L since 1994 ( <50 is the upper
limit quoted for our method, even though we raised it to 85 after our own
series), and is it surprisingly reproducible over the years. It rose to 193
U/L recently, so no alcohol (social drinker only, and I am sure all our GGT
have gone up recently!) and repeat 2 weeks later back to 158. He is and has
been well other than on Aulin for back pain, but that is all. ALT and
Bilibubin upper limit of "normal", very normal AST and ALP. Does anyone know
of a genetic predisposition to run a GGT level like this, or any other
ideas?
Thanks,
