Hi Tim,
none of the Starlink packages are based around TCL TEA, so are not in a
position to offer themselves as loadable extensions to generic wishes and
tclshs. They retain the old-style behaviour of building a local binary
that links against the packages that are needed, so yes CCDPACK, and GAIA
and StarTcl need their own binaries.
I think getting all this to work would be a _lot_ of effort, maybe even
impossible, so I've avoided thinking about it much (since it's really
candy not bread and butter).
CCDPACK has a copy of atclsh for historical reasons at the moment. That
can probably be switched to the StarTcl version (on the list, which seems
improbably long at times).
