Dear List,
SPM5 provides the structural template 'T1.nii', which has the resolution 2*2*2mm.
I wonder if it makes a difference let's say for a coregistration step (Estimate and Reslice) and following processing steps, if the template has a different resolution than the image to be coregistered to the template.
Also, in case of spatial normalization my intuition would be that it would be reasonable if template and images would have the same resolution. So, obviously I think about the tpm's and the ICBM template within the segmentation-procedure, too.
So, is there a special reason, why we use a 2*2*2-template and that there no other templates with different resolutions provided? Would it make a difference to use templates / tpm's / ICMB-templates with a resolution corresponding to our own data?
Many thanks!
Lucas
