IFISC opens three junior postdoc positions associated to the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence research program. The research program includes several lines but, in particular, the topics related to SIMSOC are:
- Urban systems, energy and mobility (data and theory)
- Epidemic spreading and complex contagion
- Evolutionary game theory
- Ecology of social interactions
- Stochastic systems, aging, noise, network co-evolution, delays in social systems (opinion dynamics, language competition, etc.)

Candidates interested in these or closely related topics should work with two IFISC staff researchers: Pere Colet, Victor M. Eguiluz, Tobias Galla, Sandro Meloni, Jose Ramasco, Maxi San Miguel and Raul Toral.

- Brief proposal (maximum 1 page) including:
+ Motivation to work at IFISC
+ Research interests
+ Potential synergy to work across research lines
- Name of two reference senior scientists
- For Spanish citizens or foreigners being resident in Spanish territory please include a copy of a valid identity document. Foreigners from outside of Spain, please add a copy of your passport.
- Academic records (including degree and master).
In the email, candidates should clearly state their interest to work in Line 4 (Information processing in socio-technical systems) within the Maria Maeztu program.
The contracts are 1+1-year with a gross annual salary of 26300 €. The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish public health and social security system. The contracts have associated financial support for the participation in conferences and scientific meetings.
IFISC’s working environment seeks coherence and integration from diversity, interactions and scientific dialogue. Postdocs are encouraged to develop their own research initiatives and search for different collaborations within IFISC.
