*Call for Papers for Sessions of Research Area [Q] - Complexity
Economics at the EAEPE Annual Conference (Budapest, October 19-21, 2017)
*
In 2017, a new research area on complexity economics was created by the
the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy (EAEPE). It
is hoped that this will help bring complexity economists and other
traditions represented in the EAEPE closer together, that it will
inspire dialogue and cooperation, that it will create a fertile ground
for future research and exchange between scholars.
Economic complexity has been a topic before, both in special sessions
and in neighboring research areas. But this year's annual conference,
which will be held in Budapest in October (19-21), will be the first to
include sessions organized by the new research area.
It is our great pleasure to announce that we welcome submissions on
topics within the field of economic complexity. We are particularly
excited about
* contributions on applications of complex science methods in economic
s
* methodological advances in complexity economics
* ontological, epistemological, and history of thought contributions
concerning complexity economics, and
* interdisciplinary approaches in complexity science.
We will also consider contributions on other topics that are closely
related to complexity economics. That said, we would urge interested
scholars to consider carefully, which research area their work fits
best; we are working closely together with neighboring research areas.
We are very much looking forward to this exciting new step and hope for
many interesting submissions. Please find attached the full description
of the new research area, research area Q.
