Dear SCARF users,
We have been having recurring issues with SCARF's storage system and were recently asked by the vendor to upgrade to the latest (at the time) version of the storage operating system. The vendor has since identified a bug in that release and has requested that we update the system again to the just-released current latest version.
To apply this update the storage system needs to be in an idle state so we have created a maintenance reservation starting at 08:00 on Monday 8th January with the expectation that the cluster reopens by 17:00 on Wednesday 10th (or earlier if we are able to do so).
Please note that this maintenance window coincides with an ongoing programme of switch updates so not all SCARF generations will be available immediately after the cluster reopens.
Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Regards,
Jon Roddom
