Thurrock Council is looking to appoint a suitably skilled Records Management
Officer who will assist in the development and implementation of high
quality systems and processes for all Council records.
This new post reporting to the Information Manager is expected to evolve in
line with the strategic development of Information Management within the
Council.
The post holder will be responsible for introducing traditional methods of
records management as well as working closely with the Council's Strategic
Partner to implement a corporate wide electronic records management system.
You should possess:
* Excellent communication skills to engage effectively at all
levels throughout the organisation.
* Effective IT Skills that will be called upon on a regular
basis to assist with projects and general day-day tasks.
* Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
* An in depth knowledge of Records Management legislation and
best practice
Suitable applicants are expected to have attained academic qualifications in
records management, although candidates who possess relevant vocational or
work related qualifications/experience, will be considered.
