The British Library is one of the greatest research libraries in the
world. Our modernisation programme ensures that we keep pace with other
international libraries. We continue to set standards with our integrated
management of the nation’s digital and printed collection.
We’re looking for an experienced Records Manager/Archivist to help us
expand our strategic systems that ensure continued compliance with
legislation relating to information, in particular the Data Protection
Act, the Environmental Information Regulations, the Freedom of Information
Act, and the Public Records Acts.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Library’s archival
corporate records are managed according to professional standards for the
benefit of the Library and its users.
With at least three years’ post-graduate experience of archives management
and responsibility for compliance with information legislation, where
