If you want to do anything fancy (e.g. random order of presentation) I would reccomend Qualtrics http://www.qualtrics.com/
You can get a free account, but I think you might be limited to only 85 items and 50 responses, which is probably not much use. Great software though. I might be worth checking with your university whether they can get you a better account than the basic type.

Afternoon all,
I am currently seeking a platform to create a secure online questionnaire and I wondered if anyone had any feedback on the software that’s out there. So far I have come across:
Bristol Online Surveys
Survey Gizmo
Survey Monkey
If you have experience of these I’d love to hear how useable you thought they were and whether you have any notes of caution (particularly around how the data is kept by the server).
If anyone has any recommendations for other survey software please let me know. I’ve posted this here as I hope this information might be useful to others beginning this type of research!
