As a point of reference, the position is advertised at 1872 hours a year, and the national minimum wage is £6.50. The minimum wage for this position would be £12,168, £243 below the lower range advertised, or 13p/hour. The upper range is 94p/hour higher than the national minimum wage.
The monthly net take-home from the advertised range rises from £960.56 at the lower end up to £1046.46, assuming no pension contributions and a standard tax code. No student loan contributions would be paid back, as it is well below the threshold. (http://www.listentotaxman.com/13927?student=y)

But that's your take home pay after tax and other deductions. The advertised salary at Glasgow is beofre any deductions so its probably something like £200 or more less than your monthly take home pay.
