Dear Louise,
The University of Cambridge has lots of science communication projects - see
www.cambridgescience.org for the Cambridge Science Festival, during National
Science Week, and
http://www.cam.ac.uk/schooloutreach/local.html for some of the many other
science communication and outreach projects which operate year-round.
Best wishes
Nicola

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Universities with active science communication departments
I'm about to apply to universities for my secondary school PGCE in Physics and
Maths but I'd like to work part-time with a science outreach programme while I'm
studying. As I have no real constraints for where to go, could anyone suggest a
university which has either an active science communication department or strong
links to a science centre in the same area.
I have extensive experience in science outreach but like many graduates I have
found it hard to find a graduate job in this area. Therefore I'd like to keep
doing it part-time.
Thank you very much,
Louise Reynolds
