We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join a team of statisticians supporting the research conducted within the Institute of Health & Society. The Institute comprises leading UK centres in the areas of Health Services Research and Epidemiology and Public Health and hosts the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit. Multidisciplinary projects are conducted within the areas of effectiveness of clinical and public health interventions and health technologies, chronic non-communicable diseases, fetal, perinatal and environmental epidemiology.
You should be able to contribute to all aspects of the research process including preparation of funding applications, design and conduct of research studies, statistical analyses, report writing and presentation of results. We are particularly interested in people with substantial experience of systematic reviews. You will work on a number of studies involving different groups of researchers from multi-disciplinary backgrounds within the IHS, the Faculty of Medical Sciences, and NHS Trusts, with support from other statisticians as necessary.
A postgraduate qualification in statistics is essential.
