The most active Hunts in the US are in Virginia and Maryland. As David
says, few if any farmers participate.
My own sense is that the predators that once controlled "pest" species
numbers were more effective and certainly more efficient than the traps
poisons and deranged rich people in scarlet coats that have replaced them
(and a helluva lot easier on the horses). Perhaps Britain should
reintroduce wolves.
