Notebook
air tastes the poem, the notebook half-bruised
call it an edge; power lines crack in sleeping sun;
sky yellow, silver fade; luminous grey - this invisible
dying . . . rust forms around cups, bones - driveways
cold stones; streets snap - engines burn, sunrise
