the way your article appeared on my screen, I had to keep going back &
forth to get it all in. which is tiring. But why did you think it would
generate any indignation? Seems fairly straightforward to me, & good on
modernism in so far as that is ever recognized in official British
scholarship. But of course Pound etc cannot be there as it's a Book of
British Verse.
I do like your version of the 'influence of Eliot on Shakespeare, Webster,
Donne, etc' trope, & agree.
