Hey, Ian, maybe look at the Ern Malley affair as a direct reaction against
such jingoism. Well, Angry Penquins was the 'reaction against' the
jingoism - then the Ern Malley hoax was against that ... but it all exploded
in the perpetrators face over time. Jacket has a bundle on it! (Always good
to throw your argument into some relief, no?)
