Hotmail to Dump Inactive Users
A new policy announced this week by Hotmail, MSN's Web-based
client, will require users to sign in at least once every 30 days
in order to keep their accounts active. Those who don't will find
their messages, folders and contacts gone, according to the
announcement, emailed Wednesday to its about 100 million accounts
worldwide. A user has 90 days to reactivate the account or lose
the address. The new restriction doesn't apply to users who pay
for extra file storage.
