I always remember encountering Heidegger's lecture/ talk/ paper 'Was is Das
Metaphisik' (hope I've spelt that right) in my mid-twenties which hit me
like a meteor as it conveyed (in translation I hasten to add) the
impression/ illusion/ sense of someone actually standing there and talking.
Which brings to mind I have had a thought about development of the speech
project: the Overheard.
Any takers?
I was told a delightful example today - two little old ladies were sitting
on a bus and one said to the other 'I've just bought a bidet' to which her
friend replied 'Yes, I find them so much warmer in winter.'
Geddit?
