Oddi wrth ICON/From ICON:
"PACR fee to increase June 2007
The Icon Board of Trustees has approved a proposal from the PACR Management
Board to increase the PACR application and assessment fee from June 2007
onwards.
The current fee stands at £400 and has not been increased since the PACR
scheme was introduced in 2000, while the costs of running the scheme -
particularly travel costs - have continued to rise annually. It is a
principle of the scheme that the cost of assessment should be borne by those
seeking accreditation and not by the general membership, and unless the fees
are increased this will no longer be possible. Therefore, the PACR
Management Board agreed that the fee needed to be increased to address
inflationary costs.
The current breakdown of costs:
£50 with the application form - a one off payment covering any subsequent
re-submissions.
£350 for the assessment: £100 fee per assessor (£200) plus £150 to cover
travel of assessors. Non refundable
The PACR fee for the 25 June 2007 application deadline and beyond will be:
£100 with the application form
£400 for the assessment
Please note that if you want to submit your PACR application for 30 January
2007 deadline - please send the Register of Intention form to be found on
the Accreditation/CPD page of the Icon website by the end of October 2006.
