There is an immediate opening for a post-doctoral fellow in the area of
tropospheric modelling in the Atmospheric Research Group at the University
of Waterloo.
This position is part of a collaborative project involving industry,
government and university researchers. While the position is located
primarily at the University of Waterloo, the candidate will work closely
with all of the partners, and will spend some time in each of the
participating organizations. Applicants should have experience in
atmospheric chemistry as well as some familiarity with tropospheric
dynamics and with large-scale computing techniques.
The Atmospheric Research Group at the University of Waterloo is a
collaboration between Prof. J. Pawliszyn and Prof. J.J. Sloan. Presently,
it is focused on the development of new monitoring techniques for
tropospheric gas phase and particulate pollutants, with a strong emphasis
on urban and indoor air quality. The successful candidate will lead the
expansion of this group into the area of modelling. There will be
substantial assistance from our collaborators in government and private
industry with this effort.
Further information about related experimental projects in the Atmospheric
Research Group may be found at our website:
