Oxford Brookes University is advertising an opportunity for an early career
researcher in healthcare management to join the healthcare management and CPD
cluster of programmes in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. This is a
full time, fixed term appointment for 3 years.
The overall purpose of the post is to undertake a collaborative research
project between Oxford Brookes University, the University of Oslo in Norway,
and Green Templeton College Oxford in the field of leadership development
interventions for clinicians / allied health professionals and to teach in the
areas of healthcare informatics, finance and data on the Faculty's MSc
Management in Health and Social Care. Design and orientation of the research
project depend in part on the interests of the researcher.
You should have:
- PhD in a relevant field of healthcare management; health economics; or
health informatics
- At least one previous postdoc appointment and research experience in a
relevant area
- An excellent publication track record in high quality peer-reviewed
journals
- Experience of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches will be
an advantage.
You will be:
- Designing and implementing a planned programme of research based upon the
existing brief developed by the three University partners and to deliver
outputs from the research which command an international audience
- Conducting in situ research with populations of clinicians / allied health
professionals who are attending leadership intervention programmes at the
three universities.
- Writing as senior, sole or cożauthor, research articles on the project for
international journals and other quality publications of a standard suitable
for submission to future REF exercises
- Teaching (in the fields of data, finance and healthcare informatics on the
MSc Management in Health and Social Care
- Contributing to curriculum design and development on the MSc Management in
Health and Social Care.
