Research Associate in New Media
(Part-time PhD studentship, linked to a 50% FTE Teaching Assistantship)
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with research ambitions and new media industry experience to make the transition to an academic career. It offers a part-time PhD studentship and a 50% FTE teaching assistantship. Applicants are required to include evidence of practical new media skills and abilities, as well as a 1500 PhD proposal, in applications.
University Grade 6 (£24,520 – £29,249 p.a. pro rata) plus an annual stipend commensurate with postgraduate research scholarships; PhD fees will be paid by the Institute.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
