In my opinion, you should specifically not be supporting XP/IE6 connections over SSL. To do so requires weak ciphers with known vulnerabilities that potentially compromise all your users’ connections onto your secure sites.
Aiming for an A on here: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ will mean that, correctly, IE6/XP users will not be able to connect over SSL and will be given an error message.
The time for XP/IE6 and lower over SSL has passed.
