Subject: Announcing Library Camp London (Saturday 2nd March 2013)
Dear all
This email is to announce that Senate House Library (University of London) will be hosting Library Camp London on Saturday 2nd March 2013.
It will start at about 10:00am with session pitches for the day and is likely to run until 4:30pm.
This will be an unconference style participant-organized event focussed on discussion and conversation. There are no Powerpoint presentations or conference papers. Anyone can suggest a session to be run during the day, as long as it is related to the libraries theme.
A website has been set up for the event and if you have an idea for a session to be run you can record this ahead of time on the Session Pitches page. You don't have to do this, but mentioning your idea ahead of Library Camp London means you can connect with others who may have similar ideas and make connections to co-facilitate a session.
Tickets will be free and will be available via Eventbrite ticketing. We will announce general ticketing soon, but we have currently opened ticketing for students. http://libcampldn.eventbrite.co.uk/ We are advertising Library Camp London to library and information science students ahead of general ticketing to allow students every chance to attend.
Further details of the event can be found at: http://libcampldn.wikispaces.com/
Twitter hashtag is: #libcampldn
