well, as the 2.0 stuff continues to dribble through, my method to try to understand something and its significance is to run a little test case.
Sometimes these are based on real projects with a deliverable and a deadline, sometimes on the randomness of what passes for, or is it in, life.
Guizot seems a good test case.
he is good google grep so that is a start.
then there is chance.
Guizot Marx makes an even better google grep
Now Guizot's dad was executed in Nimes. Marx dad wasn't executed anywhere I know, so there is a starting point for a phko case (I'll remind someone one day what phko signifies).
But we have politics, we have history, we have philosophy, we have methods, we have knowledge organisation, all in a couple of lines.
The old world of knowledge organisation, the world of web 1.0, the world of joining those two together, (and remember the rather nice point of how one gets from web 0.0 to web 1.0 is not the same matter as getting from 1.0 to 2.0 - that is a phko thing too)
which gets me to the subject, and the evil which is the RAE, and all the reasons and purposes of pursuing any of this sort of thing, rather than a glass of wine, so perhaps we could go to Berlin?
And I mean Isaiah.
From what I can see so far, the web 2.0 thing really is a different class of object and a different style of thing, which is more about communication and building communities, though that will be a scholarship thing; and we want to keep information for something different, but I suspect that is defeat path. They will all be jumbled up together while those of us who have to cook, oops, teach, must best we can.
Guizot makes a good case, when all else we have is post modernity and fundamentalism. If the centre cannot hold
And that is what I meant by the profession, phind 2.0 and phIL.
A.Nother case for anyone who wants to phollow this, is A.Nolder Gay :)
