FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
=============================================================================================================
22st March 2007, Washington, DC and New York, NY
The American Political Science Association and Cambridge University Press
are pleased to announce their renewed journals publishing partnership.
Begun in 2002, when Cambridge began publishing the American Political
Science Review and PS: Political Science & Politics on behalf of the APSA,
and expanded in 2003 to include the launch of Perspectives on Politics,
this relationship has been beneficial to the worldwide political science
community.
The American Political Science Review is political science’s premier
scholarly research journal, providing peer-reviewed articles and review
essays from subfields throughout the discipline.
Perspectives on Politics provides peer-reviewed essays which synthesize and
extend significant research and developments in all dimensions of political
science scholarship.
PS: Political Science & Politics provides critical analysis of contemporary
political phenomena and is the journal of record for the discipline of
political science, reporting on research, teaching, and professional
development.
Michael Brintnall, Executive Director of the American Political Science
Association, comments, "It is a privilege to report that APSA will continue
to work closely with Cambridge University Press. Cambridge understands and
values both academic integrity and production efficiency.
"Publishing scholarship today is a collaborative effort - between the
author and editor, and among many institutions that support professional
community, underwrite peer review, and distribute knowledge. The scholarly
press is a vitally important part of this network. We are pleased to
continue our partnership with a university press whose values -- in
particular on respect for the scholarly process and mission to transfer of
knowledge at a reasonable cost -- align with the values of the
Association."
"We are delighted that the premier political science organization has
chosen to continue publishing with Cambridge. As a leading political
science publisher, our goal is to provide the highest quality scholarship
to the research community, and we look forward to further increasing
availability and usage of the APSA journals worldwide," said Ian Banbery,
Journals Marketing Director at Cambridge University Press.
