Hi Debra
We have decided to go for electronic-only as from January 2002.
This decision was mainly for financial reasons as we will be making
considerable savings by cancelling print. We have had to 'sell' the
idea to academics and have positive response on the whole.

Hello, Debra
Yes, we too are actively considering electronic-only with ScienceDirect
, probably from January 2002 but as yet we are still considering like
you!
I should say that since we took ScienceDirect last November, its use
has increased exponentially. It is very popular. Moreover, our
University is unwilling to fund a store for all the printed journals as
we become 'full' so are encouraging the electronic only approach.

Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone on the list has decided to go for the
electronic only subscription to science direct. We're currently
looking at
our options, and are considering doing this.
If any of you have gone e-only, are you (and your academic staff)
happy
with it? We're trying to consider all the advantages and
disadvantages
compared to the other option of retaining print and paying for cross
access.
Thanks for your help,
Debra
