thanks a lot for the very clear description of the distinction between emi-1 and UMD. This was really needed.
Since this is the LHC Rollout list I would like to comment on your deployment advice.
In the workshop in Hamburg and afterwards WLCG discussed the transition plan from gLite-3.2 to UMD for WLCG sites.
The conclusion was to move gradually to the new distribution to minimize the operational costs.
I assume that the WLCG management will soon issue a more detailed recommendation.
