italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear students and lecturers,
the University of Leeds Italian department is pleased to advertise a
symposium on Boccaccio and Dante to be held on the 20th November 2009,
with guest speakers Heather Webb, Guyda Armstrong and Tamara Pollack
(details included below).
The aim of the symposium is to expose students to current research on
Dante and Boccaccio and to encourage interaction with the papers
given, leading to participation in a wider discussion of Dante and
Boccaccio's works, both in their own right and in relation to each
other. This symposium is designed particularly for those studying
Boccaccio and Dante, those engaged more generally in medieval studies,
and for those who enjoy actively engaging with and challenging texts.
If you would like to attend this event please register with Ruth
Chester ([log in to unmask]) by tuesday 17th November.
Best wishes,
Ruth Chester and Tamzin Simmons
