Subject: Nagorny Karabakh
Dear All,
I have just joined this mailing list and thought I should introduce myself.
I am a independant film maker and photographer (based in Oxford, England)
from a contemporary arts background and approach with an interest in forced
migration, human rights and border disputes. I have made a series of short
films on Western Sahara for Amnesty International over the past 3 years. I
have also produced photographs and film material on Ecuador and Colombia. I
am now planning to produce some new work on Nagorny Karabakh and also Kosovo
this year for Amnesty International and University / festival screenings.
Next year I hope to produce some work on Iran.
The objective of this work is to introduce social political / human rights
issues that normal do not get much coverage to the general public through
contemporary documentary film or photographic practice.
Please do let me know if this work is of interest and I will try and provide
you with more information or the work itself.
Simon James
