Our client is the UK affiliate of a global, blue-chip, pharmaceutical
company with market leading products and a strong pipeline. After a
sustained period of growth and significant mergers, the business now needs
to establish a HE & OR function to manage the process of developing NICE
submissions and to support the products in the market. This is an
opportunity to create a new function and to exercise autonomy and results
focussed leadership.
The job holder will be responsible for the management of the NICE
submission process using external consultancies where appropriate to
develop the papers. Additionally they will develop data to provide HE
arguments to support the products in market. Working primarily with
Clinical and Marketing colleagues they will be a crucial contributor to the
continuing commercial success and will represent the UK affiliate within
the Company’s global forum.
You will be a technically qualified Health Economist who has had at least 2
years experience working on the technical aspects of the discipline. You
may currently be working in a pharmaceutical company, a health economics
consultancy or in a university. Your proven technical skills will be
demonstrable, as will be your commercial focus. Your leadership,
interpersonal and presentation skills will be matched by your numeracy and
ability to use complex mathematical models to develop clear commercial and
technical arguments.
