HEALTH ECONOMIST
Roche Products Australia is looking for another experienced Health Economist.
ROLE
Will be an additional HE joining the current team comprising:
* Head of Health Economics
* 2 x Health Economists - full time & 1 x Health Economist - part time
* 1 x Administrative Assistant
The role reports to the Head of HE (who in turn reports to the Medical Director).
The position is responsible for the planning and preparation of clinical and economic evaluations for optimal reimbursement and listing of new products and indications and providing Health Economic support to all areas of the business.
There is extensive scope in the position to work cross-functionally with product teams to provide expertise, present and analyse findings and influence and contribute to product direction and success. Product team liaison includes, marketing and product managers, medical managers, clinical trial managers, medical information associates.
KEY TASKS
Project Manage - PBAC Submissions
* complete all or various sections of submissions according to Roche and HE standards and guidelines, within agreed timelines (involves clinical analysis and economic evaluations).
* identify and communicate key issues and evaluate feasibility of success of submissions
* provide monthly project update and present major PBAC Submissions to Head of HE and other business teams
* provide support and input to other project work as required
Customers
* develop and maintain links with members of PBB as required and other external bodies.
* represent HE department at appropriate meetings, internal and external - local and overseas
Process Improvement
* ensure new techniques, methodologies and trends are updated & recorded for training tutorials for HE department use.
Information Management
* Ensure information and resources used by HE department is reviewed every three months and managed according to HE Information Management Plan.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Pharmacy or Biological Sciences and/or Economics. Post-Graduate qualifications in Health Economics, Epidemiology or Biostatistics will be highly advantageous.
