Although this is producing considerable mirth, I think there may be a
serious related point, namely that of incipients -
non-pharrmacologically actice components in medications. I recall
having a patient who may have reacted to one such - probably a
colouring additive. I know of topical applications that cause rashes
where the problem is a vehicle.

The other serious point is that of compliance - no matter what we may
tell our patients, if someone really thinks they have a valid
objection then that will tend to override what is said. Look at the
"Indian Mutiny"....
