One could - and I am thinking of implementing this just now - do one thing:
Install in the server etc shutdown procedure a message sent via SMS to a
select number of mobiles. NHSnet facilitates this.
Alternative step up from there could be a message to an ethernet
connected switch which switches the generator on, but I am not sure how
to dop this exactly.
