Analyst programmer, HR Wallingford, Oxfordshire
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer to join our data and software development team.
About the role
You will join a team of specialists that support software development and data management across HR Wallingford and, in particular, run the SeaZone data service which formulates and licenses commercial data products.
About you
You will be educated to degree level and have at least five years’ experience as a software developer. You will have experience with spatial databases, object oriented and sequential programming languages and web technologies. You will also have experience of systems analysis techniques and be able to analyse, support and re-engineer software systems and have a proactive approach to answering internal and external queries regarding data and products. Experience in technologies such as C#, Python, Delphi, ArcGIS / QGIS and PostGIS / Oracle Spatial would be an advantage, and there is a particular requirement for experience with FME.
