Hi Pat,
I'm getting on just fine, even though I am spending most of my time
picking out bits of basalt from ditch cuttings - exciting stuff. Hopefully,
they will give me some useful geochemical results. I am mainly working on
core samples at the moment, but next year I will be off to the Faeroes to
have a look at the 'Faeroe Plateau Basalts'. You will also find me roaming
around Skye, Mull, Antrim and a few other small islands. This is all in aid
of helping to define the stratigraphy within the Faeroe-Shetland Basin
using well data (Statoil + Mobil) and onshore anologues. So what are the
aims of your study? Good luck, talk soon.
