Hi FSLers,
I'm running MELODIC on the event-based data using group temporal concatenation. However, I also wanted to examine individual Z stats maps for each participant. To do that I run stage 2 dual regression to produce per subject z stats. My next step was to use the group-derived ICs (thresh_zstats) to map the individual subject zstats maps. However, when I did that I found that a lot of the regions on the individual zstats have negative values, while the group IC thresh_zstats were positive. Could someone shed some light on how to interpret this results? Also, in case of the even-related data, do the negative zstats on the individual maps represents a true negative correlation with the task (conceptually, I didn't expect to see deactivation in those regions during this task).
I would really appreciate any advice.
Best
Ekaterina
