Dear Louise,

During the steps for processing DTI data, the ‘applytopup’ and ‘eddy’ commands produce “segmentation fault (core dumped)” error messages. This has occurred on both a CentOS and a Debian Virtual Machine (configured separately). We have ensured that all file paths, libraries, and environment variables were set correctly. As far as I can tell, any suggestions of errors in coding, etc, that were brought up on this forum previously, are not occurring here.

I even tried installing the eddy_openmp patch (16th August 2016 version). In the Debian Virtual Machine, we also installed eddy (nonfree version). Both eddy and eddy_openmp produce the segmentation faults. Unfortunately, I do not have an appropriate graphics card to support trying eddy_cuda.
Can you please send me the exact sequence of commands you are running? And for the commands that crash (eddy only?) run it with --very_verbose and pipe the output into a file that you email me (best off the mailbase, as they can get quite large if it crashes late in the run)?
