This is the first call for papers for the 20th European Conference on Management Leadership and Governance (ECMLG 2024) hosted by Universidade Lusófona, Lisbon, Portugal on 14–15 November 2024.
This call will close on 24th April 2024.
In the world of business, Management Leadership and Governance remain some of the most important areas to understand in the quest for growth and competitive advantage. ECMLG offers an opportunity for scholars and practitioners interested in the issues related to Management, Leadership, and Governance to share their thinking and research findings. These fields of study are broadly described as including issues related to the management of the organisations’ resources, the interface between senior management and the formal governance of the organisation. This Conference provides a forum for discussion, collaboration, and intellectual exchange for all those interested in any of these fields of research or practice.
Next year the conference will be taking place in Lisbon. On the Atlantic coast the capital of Portugal has much to offer as a city to explore.
We invite contributions for academic research, case studies and work-in-progress/posters are welcomed approaches. PhD Research, proposals for roundtable discussions, non-academic contributions and product demonstrations based on the main themes are also invited. A prize will be awarded to the best PhD paper and the best Poster.

Publication opportunities
Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The ECMLG conference proceedings are published with an ISBN and ISSN and are submitted for indexing to a number of accreditation bodies, including Web of Science and EBSCO.
Papers that have been presented at the conference will also be considered for further development and publication in the following journals:
· Leadership & Organizational Development Journal published by Emerald ISSN: 0143-7739
· International Journal of Complexity in Leadership and Management published by Inderscience ISSNs - online: 1759-0264 and print: 1759-0256
· International Journal of Emerging Markets published by Emerald ISSN: 1746-8809
ECMLG 2024 will be a physical event with virtual elements for those only able to attend online.
