Dear all,
Following the publication of several core economic geography textbooks in
recent months, the EGRG are currently commissioning a series of reviews to
be undertaken of these key texts (see below). These reviews will be posted
on the EGRG website as part of the Book Review series and anyone
interested in reviewing one of these texts should contact the Book Review
Editors of the EGRG, John Harrison ([log in to unmask]) and James
Faulconbridge ([log in to unmask]). We will operate a first
come first served basis in the case of multiple requests for a text.
May we also take this opportunity to direct you to the new look EGRG
website (www.econgeog.org.uk) and in particular the Book Review and
Working Paper sections. Recent books reviewed include 'Geographies of
Commodity Chains' and 'Economic Geography: Past, Present, and Future'.
To complement the EGRGs Annual Symposium, we now have a number of working
papers posted on the theme of ‘Global commodity chains, global value
chains and global production networks', with more due to be posted in the
coming weeks. We would be extremely happy to post any working paper's that
you may have on this theme. If this topic is not your particular area of
expertise and you would still like to submit a working paper to be posted
on the EGRG website, we still invite the submission of working paper's
which address contemporary issues in economic geography.
