Women's History Roadshows : 3 posts now available
Archif Menywod Cymru/Women’s Archive of Wales has been awarded Heritage
Lottery funding for an exciting new project which will raise the profile
of women’s history and heritage in Wales. We will be running a series
of ‘Women’s History Roadshows’ throughout Wales, public events to which
individuals and organisations will be invited to bring items which throw
light on women’s history in Wales. We are seeking to fill 3 posts, each
for a period of two years.
Post I: Development Officer (full time).
Salary – £23,175 p.a. (2006-07 Local Government scale SO1, under review)
The Development Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing
the organisation of the Women’s History Roadshows, including supervising
and co-ordinating the work of two part-time field workers. A graduate with
a good working knowledge of Wales and a strong interest in women’s
history, you should have proven experience in managing and delivering a
project. The post will be based in south Wales.
Posts 2 & 3: Field worker (2 posts); (part-time – 18.5 hours per week).
Salary – £20, 895 p.a. pro rata (2006-07 Local Government scale 6, under
review)
The field workers will work with community groups around Wales setting up
the Women’s History Roadshows and carrying out follow-up activities. A
graduate with a broad knowledge of Wales and, ideally, an interest in
women’s history, you should be self-motivated with demonstrable
organisational and communication skills. One post will be based in north
Wales, and one in the south.
All 3 posts will involve extensive travel within Wales, and are likely to
