Hello Anita,
I know that following the death of Prince Albert in England the papers were
full of eulogies. This was, I think during the early 1860s. In my work on
death in the 17th and 18th centuries the eulogy seemed to take the form of a
funeral sermon which basically eulogised the deceased.
