Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate in the
Institute of Geography to work on a NERC funded project in collaboration
with the Research Unit for Health Behaviour and Community Change,
University of Edinburgh. You will work with a small research team to
create an areal classification of multiple environmental deprivation.
The role will involve the identification and synthesis of environmental
data related to health, the application of classification techniques to
the data and testing the utility of the resulting classification in
explaining spatial inequalities in population health.
You will have expertise in, or aptitude for, spatial classification
analysis as well as proficiency in GIS techniques and environmental data
handling. You will contribute to publications arising from the research
and take day-to-day responsibility for your part of the project.
Fixed Term: 18 months
