Ah, I interpreted the t.p. verso differently.
Because the whole thing is headed 'Joint Steering Committee' etc, and then the people are listed underneath. It's not that the whole of the ALA was involved, it's just that those people happen to be from the ALA.
Plus, a lot of those people are not on the committee any more - so it's "The Committee" that's creating it, rather than the individuals or their organisations.
Sorry if this is a bit rambling - I'm really feeling the end of the day coming on!

I fear I'm opening a can of worms here, but can I see what others think
about this:
I entered the Joint steering committee as creator
Michael Gorman and Paul Winkler as contributors (for their role as
editors)
And then as others associated with the work, I went the whole hog and
entered: ALA, Australian Committee on Cat, BL, Canadian Committee on
Cat, CILIP, LC, CLA (forgive abbreviations here).
Has anyone else entered all of them (I'm still trying to open all the
records!)
