Hello all,
I really do think before cross posting messages like this ... if anyone is
interested in SCORM but not on the CETIS EC sig mailling list please let me
know: it'll help me decide whether to cross post similar messages in the
future. For those of you who don't know, SCORM 1.2 uses application
profiles of IMS Learning Resource Meta-data to describe resources, but in
1.3 they are moving to use IEEE LOM.
Here's the forwarded message ...

International Plugfest 1 differs from other Plugfests with an increased
focus on international strategies and contributions, Introduction to new
adopters with SCORM e-learning content and Learning Management Systems
that implement the SCORM Version 1.2/2004 (Version 1.3) specifications.
Interactive opportunities will be offered to attendees to provide input
and guidance into learning content development, and a best practices
session for developing SCORM conformant learning content.
International Plugfest 1 will also inform the e-learning community of the
latest work and direction of the ADL Initiative. A Plug N Play area will
be provided to allow continuing work on implementing the SCORM
specification and sharing issues and lessons learned in implementing SCORM

implementations, especially the sequencing application profile.
-
Sharing lessons learned and experiences with SCORM Version 1.2/2004
(Version 1.3) implementation.
- Collecting requirements from the ADL
Community for the future direction of ADL and the SCORM.

Plug N Play area to allow continuing work on evolving the SCORM
specification.
- Information and demonstration sessions on implementing
the SCORM and developing SCORM conformant learning content will be
provided.
