Hi,
I am a new graduate student working on my first NMR project. I am currently interested in measuring rate of hydrogen exchange.
I was able to successfully obtain rates for all my peaks using the 'follow intensity change' tool under 'Data analysis'. Now I am interested in reporting the fit error related to these peaks. I understand that the "fit error' column is a measure of goodness of fit, however I am unsure as to what scale is being used.
From my data I gathered that a 'fit error" value closer to 0 indicate a good fit, and a larger values indicates a bad fit. My best fits are around 4 and my worst fits are around 12. Is this related to r-square? or is it something completely different?
Can you please explain what scale is being used and how the 'fit error' is being calculated.
Thanks in advance,
Jenaro Soto
