Hi everyone,
In the BFI Information department we are recruiting two National Catalogue Data Specialists, a four year fixed term role contributing to the BFI’s Unlocking Film Heritage project (part of our published Film Forever plan).
Details on the role and the application process can be found here:
http://www.bfi.org.uk/about-bfi/job-opportunities/current-vacancies/national-catalogue-data-specialist-fixed-term-31-march-2017
The core work is data analysis and enhancement, to achieve a national catalogue of UK film in our CID database (an Adlib system combining Adlib Museum, Archive and Library modules with a new Adlib Film module), to bring the records up to minimum requirements for achieving registration with EIDR (a new service for unique registration of film and television entities – analogous to ISAN), to undertake the registration processes.
Beyond that, the role will broadly contribute to data enrichment in the CID database, across all levels of our hierarchical data structure (compliant with the new film metadata standard EN 15907), driven by the digitisation strategy of our Unlocking Film Heritage project.
All the best
Stephen
