This training day is aimed at collection managers and museums staff with musical objects in the their collections, but who do not have immediate access to specialist expertise. The main themes for the day are: a basic introduction to archives for museums staff; basic handling & conservation techniques for dealing with musical objects; an exchange of experience with an opportunity to discuss the future of the Subject Specialist Network for Musical Instrument Collections and the areas in which it should be working.
There is a charge of £20 to cover administrative and other costs.
