Gladstone's Library: Engagement/Learning Officer (2x posts, fixed term, 1 full-time, 1 part time)
Gladstone's Library has two exciting opportunities to join our team, thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund!
As part of a Heritage Fund resilience and recovery project, Gladstone’s Library is looking for two new
Engagement/Learning Officers (X1 full time and X1 part time) to devise and deliver a series of pilot activities for young
people (aged 16-24).
Both roles are fixed term for 15-months (May 24 to July 25), and the two Engagement/Learning Officers will work together
to create, develop, and deliver innovative and inclusive engagement/learning activities linked to Gladstone’s Library and
Gladstonian themes (religious tolerance / human rights / democracy). We would also like this to be linked to the Library’s
collections and could include complex and challenging historical and contemporary topics such as slavery, colonialism, and
minority rights.
We invite applications from all areas of the community, for those who see themselves as a great communicator, a team
player, with a strong interest in working creatively with young people (aged 16-24). If you are enthusiastic about history, politics and empowering young people, we want to hear from you!
Further particulars and full details of how to apply are here: https://www.gladstoneslibrary.org/contact/contact-gladstones-library/work-at-gladstones-library
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 10th April 2024. Interviews will take place from Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th April 2024.
