Dear all,
During research on 17th century deposits in the Dutch fortified city of
Coevorden, a package of organic material was retrieved. No microscope
was needed to make the observation that the package was a pure
deposition of processed buckwheat fruits (/Fagopyrum esculentum/). Does
anyone know of a case where something comparable was found and where a
detailed botanical study was carried out?
Kind regards,
Mans
